Last week, we told you about the growing rumours surrounding a romance between Reese Witherspoon and her Rendition co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal. Now, the possible pelvic partners have received the ultimate Hollywood blessing – credibility from celebrity bible, People.
According to the venerable mag, the couple only had eyes for each other at a dinner at Il Sole in Los Angeles on March 23.
"They were cuddling," a witness says. "It looked very playful."
"In the last month, they've been spending a lot more time together," a pal of Gyllenhaal's tells the magazine, adding, "Jake really likes her and isn't at all concerned that she has two kids."
A friend of Witherspoon confirms the match between the Hollywood homebodies, telling People, "[Reese] is still very, very hurt by Ryan [Phillippe] and it will take a long time to get over that. [But she and Jake] have a mutual interest. They are taking it slow and getting to know each other."
No word on how Gyllenhaal's running buddy – and Witherspoon’s ex-husband – Ryan Phillippe is handling the news. We can only hope the boys will soon duke it out in a bout of televised, naked mud-wrestling.
