Having barely recovered from the headache-inducing, red-tape laden, two-year adoption process of a Malawian boy, Madonna is reportedly already on the hunt for another kid. The Material Girl is allegedly looking to adopt a child from India (assuming, of course, that Angelina Jolie doesn’t get there first).
UK’s The Sun claims Madge had her heart set on hand-picking another child from Africa, but recently gave up after becoming frustrated with the red tape surrounding her adoption of David Banda. The baby collector has since set her sights on Indian orphanages after visiting the country in January and meeting Bollywood choreographer Sandip Soparrkar.
“We spoke about how there are so many children in India who need homes,” Sandip tells the Sun.
A source added: "Madonna was very taken with Sandip. He told her there were orphans who would melt her heart. Guy [Ritchie] was against the idea, but when she wants something, she gets it.”
Until she can convince Indian adoption officials (and her husband, as if he matters) to fulfill her dream of creating a clan that can take down Brangelina’s brood in a friendly, multicultural game of scrimmage, the 49-year-old pop icon will have to make do with continuing to mold Justin Timberlake in her image. Given her success at accomplishing whatever she sets her mind to, we expect the “Sexy Back” singer will be opening his own yoga studio and designing a line of granny leotards any day now.
