Jake Gyllenhaal, you may now be as forgotten as Bubble Boy. Reese Witherspoon was spotted back in the dating game by People magazine's spies, as the actress was seen enjoying dinner for two at a Santa Monica restaurant.
Her dining companion, however, can't be searched on Imdb.com -- unlike Witherspoon's other romantic conquests (see Gyllenhaal and ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe). People ID'd the actress' date as CAA agent Jim Toth.
Witherspoon joined CAA in 2007, but various outlets are insisting the pair weren't on a business meeting, and a "friend" of Toth's told People that they were totally on "a date" though he thinks it's "nothing serious."
As per People's snoops, Witherspoon and Toth "were very flirtatious throughout dinner."
"They were having a lot of fun, totally getting along and laughing and talking the whole dinner," the spy continued. "Reese seemed very happy. She was smiling all dinner. The mood was upbeat and really good."
The couple gabbed for two hours before leaving. And apparently Witherspoon isn't the kind of gal to kiss on the first date (at least while the paps are watching). "Reese reached around his neck and pulled him close for a hug," one spectator watching their good-byes snitched to People. "They kissed bye on the cheek -- but it was a very friendly goodbye."
