We don't know who told her, but somehow Hollywood "It Girl" Amanda Seyfried found out that she doesn't need to drop trou every time she goes on a date.

"I think dating can come without sex," the Chloe star says in the March issue of Glamour magazine. ""It's just uncomfortable when you're with somebody and you're like, 'I don't really know if I'm even comfortable with this. Why did I? Eww!'"

Now that she's puzzled out the drawbacks, the next step for the young starlet is learning to control her insatiable desires.

"I'm terrified of being promiscuous," she says. "I don't like the feeling you get when it's not something that you truly want to do, and I hate the emotional abuse you give yourself afterward."

Seyfried is not doing herself any favours with her next role, playing ‘70s porn star Linda Lovelace in the biopic Lovelace.

Luckily, in case one of those lucky one-night-stands "forgets" protection, the currently single 26-year-old says she thinks about kids "all the time."

"I feel like the next person I commit to, that's going to be the guy who I'm going to have kids with," she tells Glamour. "That's in my crazy female brain. So that's why I'm like, 'I can't commit.'"
