Here’s a tip, parents: if you’re truly worried about the mental state of your child, maybe you shouldn’t release a tape of your child’s emotional breakdown to the media. Just a thought.

But Michael Lohan apparently never read that chapter of How Not to be a Crappy Dad, as the fame-hungry father gave RadarOnline.com an audio recording of his daughter’s tearful plea for help and support. In the recording, Lindsay is heard sobbing and whimpering about the turbulent state of her life.

“Mommy says that I’m worse than you were,” Lindsay can be heard saying. “And she doesn’t back me… She doesn’t stand by me.”

Michael Lohan supposedly released the tape (the first of several) to prove his point that his daughter needs professional help. We’re sure it has nothing to do with exploiting Lindsay’s pain for his own personal gain.

“No one cares about me,” Lindsay says at one point. “They don’t, by the way. It’s about how they feel, not how I feel. It’s not about me. It’s never been about me, unless I fight for it.”

Listen to Lindsay’s heart-wrenching conversation here – if you can take it.

is so sad hear lindsay crying in this tape... I hope this won´t have a bad end for linds, she only needs to find real help from someone...

Why would you post a link to the recording if you're gonna criticize her father for exploiting her pain. You're exploiting her just as much.

God, that was sad.
