Anyone else miss the good old days, when the only thing Kirk Cameron was trying to save was Leonardo DiCaprio from sleeping in a high school closet? Now the former Growing Pains-er is out to save the souls of college students, with cringe-worthy results.

Cameron recently visited UCLA's campus to hand out copies of a "revised" edition of On The Origin of the Species, in which the author attempts to connect Darwin to Hitler, reports TMZ. But when the actor was confronted by skeptical students armed with cellphone cameras, he proved that his debating skills pretty much max out at “it's in the Bible, so there!”

Check out the video below to see Cameron get served with a scientific smackdown, while he dishes out such feeble retorts as, "I believe that Darwin was absolutely ... that the end game was to make God ... was to remove God from the world view of .. I think that that was the end game." (The video quality sucks and you'll have to crank the volume to make out what he's saying, but trust us, it's worth sticking it out.)

Ironically, Cameron himself proves Darwin's evolution theory with this video. Over the years, he's evolved from one of our most cherished teen crushes to a bumbling ignoramus.

i've got to be honest ... as an atheist who was raised in a christian home, i don't think either of them represented themselves well. it wasn't a debate at all, she was just clumsily throwing information at him. sure, cameron didn't have anything logical to counter it with, but at the same time he hardly got a word in edgewise from this freshman who just stepped out of bio 101

What science, pray tell, validates Darwin's theory? I don't know about you, but I didn't come from a monkey or fish who decided to walk. And the world's going to end in 2012? So why the big deal about global warming?

First, can people cut this guy some slack? I went to UCLA and I know there are plenty of spiteful students who will try to knock down any person who mentions the name JESUS on Bruinwalk. Mention the J word and presto(!), you're surrounded by a dozen angry UCLA students. Second, if the article is going to talk about Cameron's poor debating skills, then please, lets open the discussion to the debating skills of the annoying shrill voiced girl that hes speaking to. If Cameron's skills are really that bad, then I'd say the girl's debating skills are on the same level as a chimpanzee.... no wait, I mean bonobo.

Your CommentThere are many gods. People over the world worship many gods. Which god are we discussing here so I will know how to arrange my argument? Vishnu? Yahweh? Allah? or one of the thousands?

Well, to break the whole video down would take way too long so just maybe a point or two. #1, doesn't matter if Darwin was an atheist or not, his science was bad to assume that we evolved. Never mind the Bible for now (respectfully). What we have here are assumptions with no backing. It's not about God and science mixing. If God is real of COURSE he made science, void argument. There is NO evidence what so ever to show me that I came from a monkey, not lucy, not archaeopteryx, or any other that they claim for a few days then dis-regard. Got no problem if it is true. But it's not.Vestigial organs, also void argument. Just because I don't need them to survive doesn't mean they are not useful. Like my eyes for example. I don't need them to live, BUT, they make things a whole heck of a lot better. #2 Faith and science mix all the time. If we live in a chaotic world that evolved on accident how do I know that my test results from yesterday will be the same today. I don't know it, but I am depending on something that keeps all this crazy stuff around me stable. Those are facts. What conclusion I reach from them, however, is a different story. Which is the best explanation? hmmmm.

Even is Darmin were and Atheist...It would in no way undermine his scientific observations and theory as, science has validated his Theory. Cameron has brought a knife to a gun fight.

microevolution, hybridization, mutations, even darwin's "survival of the fittest" will explain why we need to get different vaccinations. but where can you follow the evolution chain from one species to another let alone from plant to animal, insect, fish, etc? and where did the original "soup" of life come from. evolutionists want to fill the gaps with "time" and creationists fill in the gaps with faith. considering the outcome alternatives, i think i'll go with faith and creation.
