Justin Timberlake has secured a restraining order against a woman who was convinced she would one day marry the former N*Sync member. (And amazingly, it's not a member of the Dose staff.) Karen McNeil, 28, has been ordered to keep her distance from Timberlake for a period of three years, TMZ reports.
In court docs filed by Timberlake, he describes the woman as an "obsessed and mentally unstable stalker" and alleges that she has trespassed on his L.A. property on multiple occasions.
"Ms. McNeil's ever-increasing, aggressive and harassing conduct are extremely distressing," Timberlake continued.
"I fear for my personal safety, and that of my family and friends."
Timberlake was expected to appear in court today, but was represented by his lawyer, TMZ reports. (Probably a good thing considering BBC says JT's lady-stalker broke down in an emotional "outburst" after the judge laid down the restraining order. Cry me a river, crazy-pants...)
McNeil denied the trespassing allegations to the BBC, saying "That was all lies. I did not break into Justin's house. I was let on the property."
According to the outlet, Timberlake took out a temporary restraining order on McNeil after an incident last month. She reportedly turned up at his home with a cab full of her possessions -- most of which, we can only assume, consisted of back issues of Bop Magazine, assorted "Mrs. Timberlake" trucker hats and a few crumpled ticket stubs from The Love Guru.
