The Sun Sets on Eclipse – And on Robsten's Romance?

October 30, 2009

Production wrapped on Eclipse yesterday, meaning we're that much closer to the third Twilight installment making it into theatres. (Sure, we still have three weeks to wait before New Moon even comes out, but hey, we have dreams.)

"Twilight Eclipse officially wrapped shooting, at 4.30 a.m. October 29th," director David Slade posted to Twitter yesterday morning. "Physically and emotionally exhausted."

But who has time to celebrate when OK! Magazine is reporting that the top-secret Rob Pattinson/Kristen Stewart romance is over?!

"Rob was talking marriage," a Twilight insider told the mag, adding that Stewart wasn't ready for that kind of commitment. "She told him she needed a break."

OK also noted that the pair took separate limos to the airport when leaving Vancouver yesterday.

We haven't felt this heartbroken since Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling broke off their Notebook romance (twice!).

But what's this? E! News claims that OK's story is deader than Edward Cullen (and not nearly as good-looking). According to E!'s own Twilight spy, everything in hunky-dory between the costars and they're simply keeping their relationship under wraps.

"[Kristen is] especially closed-mouth and sensitive," the insider told E! News. "She was going through a breakup with Michael [Angarano], meanwhile all these reporters asking about every detail of her love life. She has no intention of ever doing that again."

This way, if the supposed real-life relationship between Stewart and Pattinson does go south, neither will have to field any questions about what happens.

"Everyone on set knows what's going on with Rob and Kristen, and everyone just lets it happen without bothering them with labels or questions—why can't the public do that, too?" the Twilight spy mused.

Because then we'd have to focus on our own lives, and really, there are only so many costumes we can put on our cats.
