It's a day that ends in "y," so you know what that means: more casting rumours about the upcoming Twilight sequel, New Moon! Yippee!

Today's rumour has nothing to do with Dakota Fanning, Vanessa Hudgens or that Joanna Garcia girl from Privileged (fun trivia for everyone born before 1990: Garcia was also part of the Midnight Society on Are You Afraid of the Dark? It's a truth fact!). E! News' Marc Malkin is reporting that 90210's resident mean girl, AnnaLynne McCord, has auditioned for the part of Heidi in New Moon, a role fans say she is perfect for -– physically, at least.

The 21-year-old actress reportedly landed the audition because of her 90210 costar (and potential real-life beau) Kellan Lutz, who played Emmett in Twilight. Sources say Lutz thought McCord would be ideal to play Heidi, who is described as an "exceptional, unforgettable" beauty with long hair, violet eyes and legs up to her neck. Although Heidi doesn't play a huge role over the course of New Moon, she does get to use her smokin' looks to lure humans to hungry Volturi vampires.

"It's not a big part," a New Moon insider told Malkin. "Heidi would be more like a cameo."

Still, even a walk-on role in the Twilight franchise could provide far more exposure than most other acting gigs –- like, say, a lead role on 90210. (What? It's not cruel if it's true!)
