Twi-hards, you now have 15 new favourite songs. The tracklisting for the New Moon soundtrack got its official debut via Twilight author Stephenie Meyer's website earlier today.
And, as per past conjecture, Thom Yorke contributes a song ("Hearing Damage") as does Bon Iver (with -- suprise! -- help from the lovely St. Vincent). Meyer's favourite-est band ever (and the blokes responsible for the unofficial anthem of vampire baseball) Muse, also make the cut, with a remix of "I Belong to You" off of their just-released album The Resistance.
About that one, the band's frontman, Matt Bellamy, told MTV UK that he was all too happy to lend the song to the sparkly-vampire franchise. Some of his better material, however...
"I think it's all right. ... If it was one of the main tracks on [our] album, I would never do it," Bellamy said. "But it's actually one of the weirder tracks on the album ... one of the 'can't believe we got away with it' kind of tracks. I think it might be worth giving it a go [because] it's a track that might not get played live very often ... so it might give that track some life that it wouldn't have otherwise."
Other artists featured on the soundtrack include other indie-kid favourites such as Lykke Li, Grizzly Bear, Band of Skulls and Editors.
