Hey, Twi Hards: You Made Robert Pattinson Cry. It's Cool, We're More Than Happy to Comfort Him

July 6, 2009

Robert Pattinson is terrified of you -- if you happen to be one of those very special Twi-hards who like to grab him, stalk him and squeal at the sight of his devastating, inhuman beauty. (He especially dislikes the squealing, actually. As Pattinson told an Aussie mag last month: "I [cry] when people are screaming at me.")

As per previous reports, the vampire fever surrounding the NYC shoot of Pattinson's (not at all Twilight-related) new film, Remember Me is escalating, and according to the New York Daily News, all the attention has left him "stressed," "embarrassed" and wanting to cry all the way back home to London.

"Robert is dying to get back home," says the paper's source. "He's so over everything. He's overwhelmed by all the girls -- they terrify him! He says girls grab his neck and clothing all of the time, and he's not used to that. Fans don't do that to him in London. Everyone there is a little cooler about the fame thing, which is what he's used to."

"He's embarrassed by the way girls throw themselves at him," the source continues. "The girls here are stalking him. He stayed in two different hotels over the course of four days just to try to escape the fans who were following him."

But dude, they just want to watch you sleep. Obsessive stalking is hella romantic -- just think about how it brought Bella and Edward together in Twilight, and, um, Michael Douglas and Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. Swoon!
