Robert Pattinson may be plagued by romance rumours involving most of his leading ladies (see: Kristen Stewart, Emilie de Ravin), but Emma Watson wants to make it clear that she's one of the few costars who didn't fall under the sparkly vampire's spell.
Rumours flew earlier this year about Watson and Pattinson after the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire costars were spotted chatting at a BAFTA afterparty in February. But Watson maintains that she's somehow managed to resist his smoldering gaze and inexplicably mesmerizing hair.
"He's just a good friend!" Watson told the New York Daily News when asked about him at last week's NYC premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Watson did, however, acknowledge Pattinson's heartthrob status, adding: "He's a super-nice guy, and girls love him. We're just friends — but he sure was great to work with."
It appears Watson isn't the only Harry Potter cast member who is distancing themselves from the Twilight dreamboat. Last week, Daniel Radcliffe told Us Weekly: "I've said probably three words to him in the last three years and that was before Twilight all kicked off."
Radcliffe did, however, admit that Pattinson beats him in the sex symbol department. "Rob Pattinson is a genuine sexy guy. He's got the height," he told the mag. "If girls like short and nerdy, then I'm a sex symbol!"
