9) A Walk to Remember (2002) – This is another film based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, so you know someone’s going to kick the bucket. Landon (Shane West) is a bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks, but his relationship with God-loving good girl Jamie (Mandy Moore) makes him change his ways. But apparently God hates good girls, because soon Jamie is hospital-bound, dying from a special kind of leukemia that keeps her looking gorgeous all the way to the end. Landon eventually marries Jamie in the church where her parents wed, and four years after her death, he’s abandoned his bad-boy past and is on his way to become a doctor. Too bad he didn’t have those medical skills a few years earlier, huh?
