A restraining order and five years probation can't keep Chris Brown and Rihanna from sharing the day's top music headlines.
Hours after Rihanna debuted new ballad "Russian Roulette," Brown confirmed a slew of live dates via his official website.
According to the post, Brown's set to take on a 19-date tour of the U.S. that he's calling a "Fan Appreciation Tour" because -- as per some creative tweaking of the press release -- he wants to thank all the fans who stuck by his light R&B pop stylings despite the fact he beat his girfriend into an unconscious, bloody mess.
The tour, which will hit "intimate venues," launches Nov. 14 in Houston and wraps Dec. 15 in New York City. According to Reuters, some of the proceeds will go to a series of charities, including Jenesse Center, a domestic violence intervention organization, and Best Buddies International, a charity that helps kids with developmental disabilities.
Brown will make his live debut pre-tour, however. As Rolling Stone reports, he's booked to play New Jersey's Giants Stadium Oct. 27. It will be his first live performance since February.
And the pop star has been building buzz around his current single, the robots-in-disguise-referencing "Transform Ya." Brown posted pictures from the making of the "Transform Ya" video on his official site on Tuesday afternoon. Oddly, there are some costumes that look sort of like Storm Troopers. Optimus Prime does not appear to make a cameo.
