You know them as the fathers of trip-hop, your mom knows them as those nice men who wrote the theme song for House: Massive Attack are back with a new album in February, nearly seven years since their last LP, 100th Window.

Heligoland, the duo's fifth studio album, is expected in stores Feb. 8, 2010, the band announced in a statement earlier today.

And joining the band's Robert Del Naja and Grant Marshall on the album are more music-nerd-approved artists than you're likely to find outside of a Pitchfork listicle.

Damon Albarn (Blur), Adrian Utley (Portishead), Tunde Adebimpe (TV on the Radio), Guy Garvey (Elbow), Martina Topley-Bird (Tricky), Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star) and long-time collaborator Horace Andy are among those making appearances.

According to Spinner, nearly as many collabs were chucked for the final product -- including work featuring Faith No More's Mike Patton, Beth Orton and more.

Listen to their collab with TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe, "Pray For Rain," off Massive Attack's recent Splitting the Atom EP, on Dose.ca here.

You'll find the full tracklisting for Heligoland below.

1. “Pray for Rain” (ft. Tunde Adebimpe)

Wow...  I find the headline "Massive Attack to End Long Stretch of Being Known As That House Theme Song Band" to be really inappropriate for a band that has been selling albums for several years in every mainstream music store in North America.  I doubt a new album would cause anyone who would characterize Massive Attack in those terms to cease doing so.  They'd be too busy buying Backstreet Boys LPs to have even heard of it.

I can't wait! the songs on the EP are awesome! Martina Topley Bird is an amazing vocalist (sang on most of Tricky's debut album Maxinquaye)
