No Doubt Say No to New Record in '09

December 17, 2008

Yes, the No Doubt reunion is still a go, but fans are going to have wait just an eensy bit longer to hear any new material from that band Gwen Stefani was in before she started hocking perfume.

Drummer Adrian Young recently revealed that although the band has been slogging at writing fresh material, there's little chance they'll have a new record ready in the span of 2009.

"We've been working on a new record off and on now for a bit of time, and we're going to continue to work on a new record next year," Young told MTV News.

"We're going to continue to work on music while we're travelling. We'll have a mobile studio on the bus and eventually get to a new No Doubt record."

So far, the band has been booked to headline the '09 Bamboozle fest in New Jersey with Fall Out Boy -- their first show since going on hiatus five years ago.
