Britney Spears has one more incentive to maintain newly reclaimed washboard abs -- other than to shame everyone else out of the steam room.
After months of rumours, Spears has confirmed that she is indeed planning a world tour.
Finalized dates have yet to be revealed, but Billboard reports she is expected to launch the show -- sure to be stuffed with more wig-changes, lip-synching and simulated back-up dancer orgies than your mind can handle -- this spring.
Late yesterday, news surfaced that Spears signed a deal with AEG, the same live entertainment company that produced mega tours for Bon Jovi and Justin Timberlake.
Spears' last world tour was back in 2004. While the cryptically named Onyx Hotel Tour grossed more than $34 million U.S., according to Billboard, the trek ended in disaster (by pre-meltdown standards) when Spears had to call off several dates due to a knee injury.
Apart from her continued love of gratuitous wig changes, Spears seems bent on making us forget her recent woes by distracting us with her newly reclaimed (possibly computer-enhanced) hotness. If you haven't already seen the clip for her new single "Womanizer," check it out below. As with most things Britney, it's best enjoyed at minimum volume.
