Drake and Hedley Playing the 2010 MMVAs

Feel free to thank him later; Drake will be playing the 2010 MMVAs, organizers announced today. The rapper/mainstay of Much afterschool programming (Degrassi: TNG, holla!) is this year's most-nominated artist, after all. We can only hope that he and The Biebs reunite to recreate some of their Juno Awards magic. We can see the spike in our traffic already…

Also booked for the show are 2008 MMVA champs and serial mooners Hedley. The B.C. band -- who've scored a No. 1 hit with every video they’ve ever had on the MuchMusic charts -- will return to the MMVA stage when the show goes down in Toronto Sunday, June 20.

These two acts are just the latest to join the MMVA bill. Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Adam Lambert, Katy Perry, Marianas Trench and Down with Webster will all play the annual gong fest -- which will be co-hosted by very-special famous-person Miley Cyrus.

For those in YYZ: MuchMusic begins their MMVA giveaway Saturday, June 12 at MuchMusic headquarters at 8 a.m. (Start begging mom for permission to play hobo for a night, and check out the Muchmusic website for more info.)
