Vanessa Hudgens' parents really need to take away her digital camera. The star of squeaky-clean teen hit High School Musical pulled out of a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show after more compromising photos of the actress reportedly surfaced on the Web.
The Disney darling, who plays good girl Gabriella in the inexplicably popular cable franchise, blamed a scheduling conflict for her decision to ditch Leno's late night talk show yesterday (Sept 13). But the New York Daily News reports Hudgens really ditched the gabfest because new photos of her getting frisky with a friend appeared online. In a photo posted on the Daily News' website, Hudgens -- who apologized last week for the saucy nude picture that surfaced on blogs -- is seen touching tongues with another girl. Other photos reportedly show the 18-year-old starlet touching her friend's breast.
Still, if Hudgens really wanted to put this scandal behind her, she should have appeared on Leno and pulled a Hugh Grant -- smiling sheepishly, explaining "I did a very bad thing," and waiting for America to opens its arms and welcome her back into its forgiving bosom. Sure, she's probably too young to remember the British actor's famous mea culpa, but isn't that what history class is for?
