July 7, 2023 will be an unforgettable day in the lives of Brendan Gallagher and his new fiancée, Emma Fortin.

The Tricolore’s diminutive forward is capable of scoring both on and off the ice. Gally proposed in Whistler, British Columbia. Emma posted the news on Instagram.

The location wasn’t chosen at random. Indeed, this corner of the country has a very sentimental value in Emma’s eyes since her parents got engaged on the same spot almost 30 years ago.

Gally chose her time and place well, then.

The 26-year-old Quebecer is currently a doctoral candidate in management and strategy at HEC Montréal. In fact, it was in the metropolis that the two met a few years ago. I imagine, then, that despite the rebuild, Gallagher isn’t going anywhere.

And that’s just as well, because he’s counting on a no-movement clause in his contract.

Congratulations to the newly engaged couple. Let’s hope this will give the striker some juice for next season. The last two have been a little difficult for him.
