Chicago: millions of dollars in season ticket sales since last night

Having the right to draft Connor Bedard, whether people like it or not, has a big impact not only on the Chicago Blackhawks, but all over the NHL. After all, many teams are grieving…

And the Hawks can celebrate.

What you need to know is that, on the ice, he’s going to be a game-changer. I don’t know how far he’ll go to transform the club at 18, but he’ll give fans a reason to show up at the arena.

And the Hawks have already been experiencing the (positive) consequences since last night.

And why? Because within 90 minutes of the lottery, the organization had already raked in over $2.5 million via fans who wanted season tickets.

Among them? 500 new subscribers.

Of course, since last night, the number has gone up. The organization’s staff must really be rubbing their hands when they see the excitement generated by the lottery.

But of course, it won’t just appear in the form of season tickets.

You know as well as I do that jersey sales will skyrocket when they go on sale. People will also be buying tickets for certain games (but not for the whole season) next year.

And once in the arena, they’ll eat, they’ll buy alcohol and they’ll go to the store.

I don’t know what kind of team will be around him early in his career, but the guys who will be there are going to be better because of the presence of a player whose talent is coming out of his ears.

It should be noted that the increase in ticket sales would certainly not have been as obvious in Montreal, since the fans are always there, year in, year out. The difference would have been visible in jersey sales, however.

In bursts

– Speaking of the lottery.

– He’s taking his place.

– What does he think of the Oilers?

– Stay tuned.

– Which star will (presumably) buy the Sens?
