NBC made Chuck’s return official today, giving the series a premiere date for its third season – and, as expected, the action/comedy series is coming back earlier than usual.
After the cancellation of both Trauma and Southland, fans had speculated that the peacock network would move up Chuck’s premiere date from March to January, and it looks like they were correct. According to Entertainment Weekly, NBC announced yesterday that Chuck’s third season will begin with two back-to-back episodes on Sunday, Jan. 10, before moving to its regular spot on Monday, Jan. 11. That’s three hours over two consecutive nights! We hope Jeffster performs.
Meanwhile, ABC revealed that Lost’s sixth and final season will begin with a two-hour premiere on Feb. 2 -- a Tuesday, which is Lost’s new night. It also looks like most of the cast will return, even those who died in seasons past. The only ones who probably won’t return are Maggie Grace (Shannon) and Harold Perrineau (Michael). It’s probably for the best, since we don’t think we could stand to hear Perrineau yell “WAAAAAAALT!” one more time.
