While no one would ever accuse squeaky-clean Joe Jonas of having a lot in common with alleged philanderer Balthazar Getty, the producers of Brothers and Sisters apparently see quite the resemblance: the Jonas brother has been cast as a young Getty in a flashback, reports E! News.

In the two-episode arc, which focuses on the history of the Walker family, Jonas will play Tommy as a young lad, before all the self-righteousness and stealing from his family. According to E! News, Fame star Kay Panabaker will play teenage Kitty, and newcomers Anna Wood and Kasey Campbell have been cast as young Sarah and Kevin, respectively.

So who will get the part of a young Sally Field? No official decision has been made, but sources reveal that She's All That star Rachel Leigh Cook gave an impressive audition. (Remember when Cook was poised to become the Next Big Thing? If only Josie and the Pussycats hadn't failed at the box office.)

But Jonas is certainly the biggest coup for Brothers and Sisters, and maybe, if he spontaneously breaks into song, the show will start sucking a little bit less.
