The Grey's Anatomy rumour mill has been churning for months, with countless reports surfacing that Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight were itching to get out of their contracts and away from the medical drama altogether. And the season finale of Grey's certainly played up those rumours, with both Izzie and George flatlining, with no hint as to if either would survive.

Well, E! News reports that there will be at least one corpse at the start of next season, as multiple sources claim that T.R. Knight is indeed leaving Grey's Anatomy for good. The 36-year-old actor has reportedly wanted to quit for months after getting very little screen time during Season 5, and E! reveals that the relationship between Knight and Grey's head honcho Shonda Rhimes has become "unbearable."

Reps for Knight and ABC had no comment.

As for Heigl, her future at Seattle Grace is still uncertain. Although the actress reportedly angered Rhimes and ABC execs by removing her name from Emmy consideration last year (complaining the writers didn't give her good enough material), Heigl has reentered the running this year and has expressed a desire to return to Grey's next season.
