There is only one season and 17 mysteeerious episodes left of Lost, and once those are over, star Matthew Fox is saying goodbye to the small screen forever. He's going to be a movie stah!
"I am not going to do television again," Fox told Starpulse last weekend. "That is not because I think film is better than television. Not at all, in some respects some of the best storytelling is happening on television. I have done two TV shows — Lost and Party of Five — that have each run for six years. When you add it all up it is in the vicinity of 300 hours of television. I want to find a way to have more control over when I am working and when I'm not. I'm looking for more flexibility."
Fox also clarified that focusing on his movie career would allow him to spend more time with his wife, Margherita, and their two children, 12-year-old Kyle and eight-year-old Byron.
"I am 42 and a father of two children and I don't want to miss them growing up," he said. "I don't want to find myself 10 years from now feeling like I was an absentee father because I was so focused on my career."
Actually, Fox turns 43 today – happy birthday, Matty! We would have bought you something, but after two successful TV shows and a burgeoning movie career, you probably don't need a $10 gift card to Bed, Bath and Beyond.
