One of the highly coveted roles in Hollywood this TV season has been one on the hit ABC drama Brothers & Sisters. The Season 2 finale last spring revealed that although Rebecca (Emily Van Camp) is not related to the Walker family after all, they do have an unaccounted for half-sibling named Ryan. Since the episode aired, every major Hollywood agent has been trying to get their young, male clients cast as the newest member of the neurotic Walker clan.

Gossip mongers have been buzzing non-stop about who was up for the part; actors who were rumoured to have a shot include Jason Ritter (The Class), Jason Dohring (Veronica Mars and Moonlight) and Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights). Sadly for them, Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reported yesterday that the head honchos at Brothers & Sisters have cast a virtual unknown instead, 24-year-old Luke Grimes.

Now, before we begin receiving angry emails from any Grimes fans, we do admit that the guy does have four whole IMDB credits to his name, including Assassination of a High School President and All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. Never heard of them? Neither have we.

According to Ausiello, Grimes merely has to officially sign his contract and he'll be herded into the Walker family later this season. You know what that means: it's only a matter of time before he sleeps with Sienna Miller.
