Jeff Probst Creates Morbid Reality Show

October 20, 2008

Fresh off his Emmy win for outstanding reality host, Jeff Probst has created another reality show for CBS that he intends to host, should the eye network order a full season. Because enduring his cheesy delivery on Survivor isn't painful enough.

To make matters worse, the 45-year-old's idea is more than just a little bit morbid: titled Live Like You're Dying, the show will feature people with terminal diseases with only a short time to live. According to Probst, producers will then "take them on the last adventure of their life." Oh, yeah, that doesn't sound like a bummer at all.

"It could be playing guitar with Eric Clapton or jumping out of a plane into a volcano," Probst told Entertainment Weekly. "Whatever it is that you're still desiring to do in your life — we want to make it happen."

Probst insists that the show's tone will be an uplifting one, although this is difficult to believe considering that the participants are, you know, dying. If anything, calling the show Live Like You're Dying seems a little inaccurate. Well, unless they add ...Because You Are to the end.
