Girl-on-girl kisses simply aren't the ratings-grabbers they used to be in the Ally McBeal days, so Gossip Girl is taking the next step by making everyone's favourite conniving cad dally with another man. But don't worry, Chuck/Blair 'shippers – Chuck is only switching teams because he loves his girlfriend so much. That is devotion.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Chuck's man-on-evil-man smooch will definitely take place in the upcoming third season - and, sorry, it doesn't involve Chace Crawford. No, the lucky man who gets to put his mouth on Ed Westwick's mouth is Neal Bledsoe, who has been cast as Josh Ellis, NYU's head of freshman affairs. Josh is in charge of selecting the student to deliver NYU's freshman speech, and since Blair Waldorf is very intent on landing the gig, she decides to pimp out her well-dressed beau to sway Josh's opinion in her favour. Wow, and we could barely get ourselves to class on time (if at all).

Naturally, EW assures us that there is a certain catch to the Chuck/Josh lip-lock, but remains mum on the details. No matter how sexy that kiss is (and we have no doubts that it will be), we will be furious if they turn Chuck gay after he finally admitted his love for Blair in the Season 2 finale. (And yes, we fully admit we are a little too invested in fictional characters.)
