Sadly, not every girl can be Canada's Next Top Model. But just because you don't reach your original goal in life doesn't mean success, fame and fortune isn't in your future -- ask Jennifer Hudson.
Each week, Dose.ca will have an interview with the contestant that has just been booted off of Jay Manuel's beauty pageant. Who knows what's next for these pretty young ladies? Hopefully, it is more than watching Next Top Model reality shows at home, bitterly complaining about how they "should have won," while letting their insides get uglier by the episode. Gain some insight into the minds of the models that didn't make the cut.
This week, we speak to Cori:
1) Where do you want to take your modeling career next, now that Canada's Next Top Model is not an option?
Now that I am finished with Canada’s Next Top Model, I would love to pursue a career in modelling. I am interested in every type of modelling. I could do commercial, high fashion or glamour. I would love to do a cosmetics campaign or be a model for Guess Jeans, Calvin Klein or even Victoria’s Secret.
2) Tell us one thing about the fashion industry that you had absolutely no idea about before you came on this show.
One thing about the fashion industry that I had absolutely no idea about before I came on the show would be how cutthroat it really is. You are constantly being criticized and I learned that you just need to take it with a grain of salt.
3) Do you think you portrayed accurately on the show? Be honest.
I think I was portrayed accurately most of the time. However, I looked fragile and unconfident at times, which, in real life, is not me at all. When everyone thought I was being fake, I was genuinely excited to be in the competition. All of the girls thought I changed when I was around the judges, but I was just glad to see them.
4) Which model deserves to get kicked off the show next?
I definitely think Tara should be the one to go home next. I actually thought she should have gone home a long time ago when Mo was kicked off. I don’t think that Tara has shown any improvement at all. She was mediocre when the competition started and I don’t think she has really improved.
5) Honestly, who do you think deserves to win it all, if not you?
Other than myself, I think the winner of Canada’s Next Top Model should be Sinead. She would make an awesome role model to young girls and she has improved so much since the beginning – winning challenges left and right and rocking her photo shoots. Overall Sinead is the best model to win, other than me of course!
Canada's Next Top Model airs on Wednesdays on City TV at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
